What I Offer

Swedish/Relaxation

Swedish is the most common type of massage. This massage is performed with a lighter touch, meant to promote relaxation. In our culture, we’re constantly in fight or flight from the daily grind and stresses of life. Swedish is a euphoric type of massage meant to destress and relax your body.

Deep Tissue/Rehabilitation

Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that is mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deep strokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues. This helps to break up scar tissue that forms following an injury and reduce tension in muscle and tissue.

Deep tissue promotes faster healing by increasing blood flow and reducing inflammation.

Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization

Cupping

Cupping has grown in popularity the last few years. It is an alternative medicine that has been practiced for thousands of years. Cupping has roots dating back to ancient Egypt, China and Middle Eastern cultures. The treatment pulls stagnant blood away from the body and promotes circulation, while giving the fascia a good stretch in one specific spot. It also may temporarily shut down the pain receptors in sensitive areas so deeper work can be done without additional pain.

Graston

Graston originated from a traditional Chinese medical treatment called Gua Sha, which used bone or jade tools to promote healing by scraping.

Today Graston technique is a manual therapy that uses stainless steel instruments to break up scar tissue and adhesions in muscles, ligaments, tendons, and fascia. The therapist glides the instruments over the skin to detect and treat areas with scar tissue. The technique stretches connective tissue to reconfigure the soft tissue and restore mobility.

Hot Compress

Think of it like a heated weighted blanket. Traditionally used for physical therapy, the hot compress delivers moist heat down deep into the muscle, melting it into a pliable state. The soothing presence feels like a warm hug and promotes additional euphoria.
